Mat is a anthro golden retriever with bright yellow/gold fur and dark brown eyes, he stands at around 6ft tall and has a medium muscle build. He is a very shy but very friendly person, he tries to avoid fights but if he is forced to fight or has to do it for the right reasons such as protecting his friends he will do it.
His past is quite strange as he awoke in an old temple with no idea of how he came to be there, he now searches for a way home encountering some problems on the way due his sizeshifting ability, there are still many things about Mat that are still to be revealed.
His fighting style is basic all styles kickboxing, he doesn't usually use a weapon but when he does he preferes that it is a bo staff or a spear.
